We do not employ third-party fundraisers and every penny of your donation goes directly to the Society.  Special thanks to our volunteer fundraising team who help keep our fundraising costs to a minimum.
 

Other ways of giving us your support
Regular annual giving
This is a common way of helping, where donors, usually every year as part of their regular charitable giving, help us out with a contribution.  Please make your cheque out to "The North Shore Schizophrenia Society" and send it to us at 205 - 1865 Marine Drive, West Vancouver BC V7V 1J7.

Securities
Members and other donors who wish to donate company stock to NSSS can now do so.  When you donate shares to a registered charity like NSSS, you don’t pay any capital gains tax, which you would otherwise be charged.  It’s a good way of optimizing your financial contribution to the Society and our many programs, with less cost to you.

United Way
If you contribute to United Way, at your workplace for example, you can specify that your donation be directed to the North Shore Schizophrenia Society by citing our charitable registration number,
89422 6935 RR0001.

Endowment contributions
Unless specified, donations are used to help cover operating expenses.  Equally valuable, however, are endowment contributions, whose investment revenue provides us with a basic sustaining income and helps assure our future. Please contact our office at 604-926-0856 for more details.

Whatever kind of contribution you make, it will help us achieve our mission - to alleviate the suffering caused by schizophrenia and other serious mental illness - and help us, as an organization, to meet our responsibilities to the seriously mentally ill and their families.
